1) Before Installation (Important)
Acclimation
Keep the flooring in the room where it will be installed for 24–48 hours before installation.
Store the boxes flat, in a dry indoor area.
Recommended room conditions:
Temperature: 18–25°C
Relative humidity: 40–60%
Subfloor Requirements
A good result depends on a properly prepared subfloor:
Must be clean, dry, stable, and level
Maximum unevenness: 2–3 mm per 2 meters
Remove dust, paint, oil, or loose materials
Moisture (Critical)
Concrete or cement subfloors must be fully dry before installation.
Always use the correct moisture barrier / underlayment when required.
2) Installation Guidelines
These are general guidelines. Always follow the product-specific installation method (click system, glue-down, etc.).
Expansion Gaps
Leave an expansion gap of 8–10 mm around all walls, pipes, and fixed objects.
Use appropriate profiles/transition strips at doorways and large areas.
Underlayment
Use a compatible underlayment (sound-reducing where needed).
For apartments, ensure compliance with building requirements (e.g., sound reduction standards).
Cutting & Finishing
Use proper tools and blades to avoid chipping.
Install skirting boards so they cover the expansion gap without pressing the floor tight.
3) Underfloor Heating (If Applicable)
Underfloor heating can be compatible, but must be managed correctly:
Turn heating off 24 hours before installation
Start heating gradually after installation:
Increase temperature by max. 2–3°C per day
Surface temperature should not exceed 27°C
Avoid sudden temperature changes
If you’re unsure, contact us before proceeding.
4) After Installation
First 24 Hours
Avoid heavy traffic during the first day (especially for glue-down installations).
Do not place heavy furniture immediately unless the installation method allows it.
Furniture Protection
Use felt pads under chairs and furniture legs.
Use protective mats under office chairs (especially with hard wheels).
5) Daily Cleaning & Maintenance
Recommended Cleaning
Sweep or vacuum regularly (use a soft brush setting).
Damp mop with a well-wrung mop (not wet).
Use a pH-neutral floor cleaner suitable for your floor type.
Do Not
Do not use steam cleaners
Do not use abrasive pads or harsh chemicals (bleach, ammonia)
Avoid soaking the floor with water
Spills
Wipe spills immediately.
Do not let standing water remain on the surface.
6) Protecting Your Floor
Use doormats at entrances to reduce sand and dirt
Avoid dragging heavy objects
Keep pets’ nails trimmed
For sunlight exposure, use curtains/blinds to reduce fading over time
